AI Search: Stay Visible or Be Invisible

Liza Adams · June 30, 2025 ·

Published on 2025-06-30 20:59

If buyers can’t find you in AI search, you’re invisible.

Search behavior is changing fast and AI is rewriting the rules for what gets seen, trusted, and clicked.

On July 11, the MarketingProfs event starts at 11:30 am ET / 8:30 am PT.

I’m on at 1:15pm ET / 10:15am PT to talk about how AI is changing search and what marketers need to do to stay visible.

You’ll learn:

  • How AI search is shifting buyer behavior

  • What trust signals AI looks for (and how to influence them)

  • A practical checklist to make your content AI-worthy

If you’re in marketing and want to stay visible and valuable in the AI era, this is for you. Link to register is in the comments.

Making Space for AI: A People-First Approach

Liza Adams · June 30, 2025 ·

Published on 2025-06-30 16:11

We say people need to put hands on keyboard to understand what’s possible with AI.

But most teams are already stretched thin. 150% at work. Life at home. Not enough hours in the day.

If we want people to really learn and grow, we have to make space for it. That means:

  • ➡︎ Showing what good looks like, not just telling them to figure it out

  • ➡︎ Giving them training, tools, and support

  • ➡︎ Creating a safe space to learn without fear of messing up

As GTM leaders, we can’t just push AI. We have to bring people along with empathy and grace.

That’s not AI-first. That’s people-first, AI-forward.

Penny’s Door: My DIY Search Habits in the AI Era

Liza Adams · June 29, 2025 ·

Published on 2025-06-29 13:07

Meet Penny, our yellow lab, using her custom modern farmhouse doggie barn door!

This little project shows how I search for things online now. I only use traditional Google search for 3 things:

  1. Going to specific websites
  2. Getting directions when I’m walking
  3. Finding pictures for inspiration

My husband and I are big DIYers. We’re always looking for cool ideas like backyard makeovers, dog costumes for Halloween, unique ways to capture memories.

We love seeing the real work and stories behind what people build, and enjoy learning new ideas from others in the DIY community.

I’ve noticed AI is getting better at serving up photos of real-world, human-made projects. Some can now find and summarize a few of these images.

But when I want the widest variety and the most authentic inspiration, I still turn to Google, Pinterest, and Etsy to see what real people have made.

That’s how we found the idea for Penny’s door: saw a photo online, designed our version, and built it ourselves.

For everything else, whether I’m doing research, brainstorming, or looking for quick answers, I use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Gemini.

And while Penny’s great at opening her barn door, she’s not great at closing it. We’ll need a little more training (and maybe a little less stubbornness 🤪) for that.

How have your search habits changed?

Vibe Coding: How AI Built My App in 5 Minutes

Liza Adams · June 27, 2025 ·

Here’s a little Fri fun! Did you know that you can now describe what you want an app to do in plain English and AI builds it for you?

I gave ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude the same challenge: “Turn the 2025 State of Marketing AI report into an interactive Jeopardy game.”

All three built working games in under 5 minutes. Watch the short video below to see the outputs.

  • Claude – Insightful questions with scoring. Visually appealing. Guided thinking and feels like a game.

  • Gemini – Good layout and questions, but just shows the answer on click. No real gameplay.

  • ChatGPT – Clean design, but some questions were confusing or gave away the answer. No scoring or tracking.

(Claude and ChatGPT apps are shareable. Gemini’s isn’t—yet.)

Note that these were all built with just one simple prompt. You can absolutely keep prompting to refine the design, fix issues, or improve interactivity.

I’ve done exactly that like with an Emoji Jeopardy game I made for our party last New Year’s Eve. Falling snow, hints, audio, team scoreboards, tracking, rules, the works! (linked in comments). So fun. If a non-coder like me can do it, you can too!

Some call this “vibe coding” now. Because saying “I told AI what I wanted and it built the whole app in 5 minutes” wasn’t cool enough.

We had to make it sound like it requires incense, ambient playlists, and a founder hoodie. “I didn’t code it… I vibed into existence.” 😂

This is a new way of working. You can now turn:

  • Ideas in your head → reality

  • Reports → dynamic infographics

  • Spreadsheets → interactive dashboards

  • Concepts → engaging, shareable experiences

Not just for fun. It’s a faster, more visual, and more effective way to communicate, align, and engage.

So pour yourself a mojito (I will too!), play some AI Jeopardy, and see which one makes you feel the smartest 😄

Stop Explaining, Start Building: AI Interactive Tools

Liza Adams · June 26, 2025 ·

Most teams have brilliant ideas trapped in their heads, spreadsheets, slide decks, and planning docs. The best ones are turning them into working tools with AI, moving from static sheets to dynamic calculators, from blog posts to interactive web pages, from research docs to engaging assessments and quizzes. All in minutes, using plain English prompts.

This changes how you express ideas, align teams, and engage customers. Instead of explaining concepts, you let people experience them.

For the past 6 months, the most AI-forward GTM teams I work with have been making this shift. It was their secret weapon because only Claude could do this well. That just changed. ChatGPT and Gemini can now build and render interactive experiences/apps too.

This week’s newsletter shows you:

  • A playbook for building interactive tools with AI

  • 10+ working examples from simple assessments to sophisticated calculators

  • Platforms and models that work best (today) from my experience

  • How to start simple using a blog

  • Step-by-step guidance to get from idea to working tool in 30-90 minutes

Read the full issue below.

For those pressed for time or who want to revisit the full newsletter later, there’s a 14-minute AI podcast version you can listen to while multitasking, plus a couple of interactive apps built with AI to check out (links in the comments).

Big thanks to Jessica Lanier (VP Marketing at Cox Automotive Inc.) and Isar Meitis (CEO of Multiplai.ai and host of Leveraging AI podcast) for sharing their insights on what happens when teams stop explaining and start building.

Your ideas don’t belong in your head or slide decks. AI gives you the tools to make them real now.

What’s one idea you could turn into something people can actually use? If you’ve already built some, please share your experiences and learnings to inspire others.
