AI Built My Mindful Break App: No Code Needed!

Liza Adams · February 4, 2025 ·

Published on 2025-02-04 14:21

I asked AI for a quick way to reset and recharge during my day. Claude delivered!

All I did was ask it to build a simple interactive app to help me take mindful breaks. No code. Seconds later, it gave me MindfulMoments.

It gives you three break styles, each with three quick 20-second activities:

  • Energy Boost: stretches, desk push-ups, chair twists

  • Calm & Center: box breathing, energy breath, relaxing breath

  • Mental Reset: 5-4-3-2-1 senses, quick visualization, gratitude moment

It even has a built-in countdown timer and little nudges of encouragement along the way.

I love how MindfulMoments keeps me refreshed throughout the day. And it’s a great reminder that AI is so much more than a fancy Q&A machine. Did you know it could do this?

Short 1-min demo below and try it yourself! Link in the comments (https://lnkd.in/gm3h8MSX).

Every day, I learn something new about how AI can help when used responsibly. Stay curious.

And if I haven’t already said it enough, I love Claude for its insights, brainstorming style, safety-first approach, and app creation abilities. It’s long been my a go-to for many tasks in my AI tech stack (https://lnkd.in/gb-yiZgM).

So, what app are you going to build with AI?

Choosing ChatGPT Models? I Made an AI for That

Liza Adams · February 2, 2025 ·

Published on 2025-02-02 14:11

How ridiculous is it that I had to build an AI with the help of AI to tell me the best AI to help me with a task? 🤣 Thankfully, it only took 10 minutes.

There are now 7 models to choose from in the paid versions of ChatGPT: GPT-4o, GPT-4o with Scheduled Tasks, o1, o3-mini, o3-mini-high, GPT-4o Mini, GPT-4 (Legacy).

Besides the fact that these names sound like rejected Star Wars droid models (I mean, GPT-4o and o3-mini-high sound like droids that didn’t make the cut), figuring out which one to use for which task is not for mere mortals like many of us.

So I asked ChatGPT to give me the instructions to build a custom GPT (AI built to do a specific task) that will tell us which model to use based on the task that we want to do.

Think of it as a friendly AI assistant that asks what you’re trying to do and points you to the right model.

I cut and pasted the instructions it gave me to build the custom GPT and viola! View the demo below. Feel free to try the AI Model Matchmaker GPT yourself, see the link in the comments.

Here’s my best attempt at decoding these models so far, with some help from ChatGPT:

  • GPT-4o – Best for general tasks like content creation, reports, and analysis.
  • o1 – Great for deep strategic thinking and complex problem-solving.
  • o3 – Good for coding, technical tasks, and programming.
  • Mini Models – Faster and more efficient for quick tasks, with a trade-off in depth.
  • Mini-high Models – More powerful than Minis, great for complex tasks that still need speed.

Why couldn’t OpenAI simply build in these instructions to choose the best model for us? 🤔 The whole situation is absurd. I mean, their own AI helped me solve their usability problem! 😂

Eventually, user experience will get prioritized. These AIs will talk with each other and do things together so that we don’t have to orchestrate them. We’ll focus on providing human oversight, strategic thinking, and creativity.

In some sense, that’s ok. It gives us some breathing room to understand, test, learn, and adapt.

This is what happens when AI companies are racing to advance tech while still working out how to make it user-friendly. In the meantime, it will be up to us users to share and learn together.

B2B GTM 2025: Don’t Feed Pigs Chicken Feed

Liza Adams · January 31, 2025 ·

Ever feel like we’re now trying to raise pigs using chicken feed, measuring their growth with broken scales, while running a farm built for chickens? 😂 That’s B2B GTM in 2025.

Here’s a quick reality check. Our buyers are evolving fast. They’re using AI to research and evaluate solutions and expect to realize value quickly at their own pace. Yet we’re still:

  • Counting MQLs and demo requests (outdated metrics)

  • Running discovery calls and lengthy tech evals (wrong strategy)

  • Requiring 100-seat minimums when they want to start with 5 (misaligned product-market fit)

Where we need to go from here:

  • Measure product usage and expansion velocity

  • Provide expert support focused on quick wins

  • Let teams land small, expand with value

This is just one small example. On top of this, AI is an amplifier of good or bad. If good, then it’s a faster path to success. If bad, it’s a faster path to failure.

I don’t have all the answers, but we can learn, adapt, and figure this out together.

What do you think?

AI for Teamwork: Beyond Tasks, Building Connections

Liza Adams · January 30, 2025 ·

Published on 2025-01-30 14:40

Teams are finding a new practical use for AI: helping people work better together. Go figure, it’s not humans vs AI. It’s AI helping humans connect with humans.

Last week I shared how a marketing team transformed into a 45-member powerhouse in 6 months with 25 humans who built and trained 20 AI teammates using custom GPTs (AI tools built for specific team needs).

Together, they now create content 75% faster, achieve 35% better campaign results, and qualify leads with 98% accuracy.

The hard part wasn’t the AI. It was helping people adapt to new ways of working. AI helped with this change (see the step-by-step playbook: https://lnkd.in/gwYnyNnd).

Teams used AI for tasks and to help people understand each other better.

Here are five examples across various companies I guide and support through their AI transformation journey:

Supporting Team Transitions

A content marketer built an AI guide before her maternity leave. The guide shares her work methods and content knowledge with the team. This helps keep work smooth and consistent while she’s away.

Understanding Leadership Styles

A leader built an AI tool that shows how she works and makes decisions. The tool helps her team learn her style and suggests ways to work with her in different situations.

Connecting Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success

A GTM team built an AI tool that learns from customer wins. It shows marketing how sales uses their content, and helps sales tap into customer success examples. Teams now see how their work connects.

Working Across Cultures

A US marketing team built an AI tool to work with their Asia team. The tool understands local business customs, communication styles, and decision-making practices in each region. This improves global teamwork.

Preparing for Board Meetings

A CEO built an AI tool using board member bios, talks, and LinkedIn profiles. When planning board updates, he uses it to understand each member’s background and likely questions. This helps him prepare better materials.

Teams are now creating custom GPTs for both everyday tasks and strengthening work relationships. Here are some examples:

When people understand each other better, work moves faster and customers get better results. This matters most for marketing, sales, and customer success teams, where walls between groups slow things down (read about connecting GTM teams with AI: https://lnkd.in/gSU2_uev)

What custom GPTs are you and your team building for better teamwork?

Amplify Your Thinking: AI as Your Thought Partner

Liza Adams · January 29, 2025 ·

Published on 2025-01-29 14:21

If your AI prompts don’t start with phrases like these below, you’re probably using AI to think for you rather than to make your thinking better.

It’s ironic given that we talk about the desire for AI to augment, not replace. But our actions are often counter to what we say we want.

The best AI-enhanced content starts with YOUR perspective, YOUR insights, YOUR frameworks.

That’s the real differentiator in a world where everyone has access to the same tools.

Your original thinking is the foundation. AI can make it richer, amplify it, and help you communicate it in better ways. Because in a sea of sameness, your voice is what sets you apart.

Here’s a real-world example:

  1. I shared with ChatGPT my thinking on how I believe marketing teams will evolve, showed it a framework, asked for its opinions on my ideas, and collaborated with it.

  2. Then I guided ChatGPT again to help write the post explaining that very process!

You can check out the result here, where I’ve detailed how I use AI to collaborate on strategic thinking and make my ideas better.

Stop using AI as your bad ghostwriter (writes without input from you). Start using it as your thought partner.
